Grammar Points

·        をとおして(を通して) is a compound particle that is used to indicate a medium through which something is done

·        A sentence ending in the plain formのです orんです indicates that the speaker is explaining, asking for an explanation or giving emphasis.

·        まだ + ない means (not) yet. Someone or something is in some state he or it was in some time ago.

·        means "not a single" in this situation. It follows counters and is used with a negative for emphasis.

·        The word (もの) modifies the verb (). So …(かみ)()(もの)…would translate as "As far as a person that has seen God…"

·        The sentence (かみ)()(もの)まだひとりない would be literally translated as "As far as a person that has seen God, there is not yet a single one."

·        ひとり子なる modifies the verb いる. So …ただ(ちち)のふところにいるひとり子なる(かみ)だけが…would be translated as "(just) only God's one begotten Son that is in the bosom of the Father"
